Okay Masked Piggers listen up

I probably can't post as often as you'd like, but I do intend to participate. This place and events is based (very loosely) on the FIFTHWIND universe. The Masked Pig Tavern is set in a remote mountain village (Kishell Springs), at the crossroads of several of the major trade routes.

There are only Human races initially, but others are slowly starting to emerge. There are no monsters, but they too are slowly coming into existence. Magic? Ridiculous... or is it? Yes, magic too is slowly rearing its ugly head.

Magic and all things magical are a brand new development in the world of the FIFTHWIND. The people are generally very freaked out over the whole thing.

Very few have acquired any significant skill with the use of magic (yet), except for a rare breed of arrogant and deadly sorcerers who use they power to subjugate some of the newly arrived creatures to do their evil bidding. Enter: The Murg. Don't even think you might have a chance beating these things in even combat. they travel in packs and are fierce in every way. You might take out a few, but you'd better be looking for an escape route pretty quick if you want to live.

The majority of "civilian" magical use is found as enhancement magic. The use of magic to improve combat skills, and minor uses in non-combat ways. (This of course will grow in time as the power of the FIFTHWIND increases.)

Mostly, have fun in my little world, and don't worry about straying from these guidelines too much. We are here to have fun... I'm not going to be upset if you make a few "changes".

I will play the part of "Fahd Cobalius". He is part of an ancient brotherhood of skilled warriors who have been waiting for the FIFTHWIND to return n strength so they can again use the legendary magical Fahd combat skills.

I will also appear now and then as James Holton, owner/operator of The Masked Pig. He's a harmless "NPC"

Novelist (my alter Ego) will occasionally show up as "Gordo". He is a general ass who has good intentions but no manners.

can you describe the murg for us? Are they large or small? Part human or all animal or what? What are their attributes? Are they fast? Are they very clever or just instinctually fierce and a predetor? I need a good description of these things. Are they furry? Have leathery skin? what color are they? Large eyes? Small beady eyes? Long claws? Sharp yellow teeth? Do they use weapons of any kind?

Bread, I'm already planning an escape if these things are that fierce! Haha!

The Murg:

Remotely intelligent, and remotely human.

They are a race of sub-human creatures that only understand power and pain. Each pack usually operates under an "Alpha male" type scenario. The sorcerers that subjugate them are cruel and equip them with weapons and armor and use them as a tool.

Here is a basic Picture and a picture of their equipped blades. (Note that sometimes the blades are cruelly fused with the creature's bone. These creatures endure lots of torment from their "masters".

All right, I've decided to join the fray with Kurt, a character from my novel whom I've modified for the FW universe.

Just a quick note, which will become superfluous once the mystery is out: Kurt is different from the other characters in a fairly unusual way (but nothing magical or like that), so when your character addresses him, please note their physical relation to him (in front, behind, to the side, facing him, not facing him, etc). Trust me, it'll become apparent why pretty soon.

Mal is going to be interesting to play, she is a completely new character type for me, so my apologies if I play her strangely at times, she is truly a challenge already!

Hi all! I was a member of the old site, though I didn't post much. (I kind of caught it towards the end of it's life.) Anyway, Ariel pointed me this way and I was wondering if I could join in? I used to be a part of Lycoria over at Speculative Vision but that seems to have died a death due to lack of interest.

I've got an established character from Lycoria that I'd like to use if that's OK? Obviously I'll be taking him back to square one and altering him a bit to fit in with the setting.

I'm sure your presence would be appreciated. I started this particular thread, but don't post everyday. The others seem to have a nice storyline developing. Looks like you'll get to get in early while things are just getting interesting.

I apologize folks for being missing from the MP RP, but I did glance at the storyline you guys have put together, and I'm looking for an opportunity to jump back in. It looks like you guys have gotten yourself into a tight spot. If it were me, I'd run like hell. It was nice knowing all of you... Damn Murg are gonna get you...

It seems to be going through a downtime, it tends to happen to RP's however im sure things will pick up soon! and as always there are other rps for you to partake in if you don't want to wait for others to post here.
