Has anyone here read the Bitterbynde Trilogy? If not, I highly recommend it. (The first book is called the Ill-Made Mute) It's been about a year and a half since I read them, so I don't remember them as clearly as I'd like. But they are wonderful. The story and setting is quite original, while at the same time she makes use of a lot of known myths/legends. And it is beautifully told, and I loved the characters.
That being said, my boyfriend did not think it was anything special. Good, but not extraordinary. He couldn't relate to the females in it, he said. Stupid boy

Just shows that we have different taste in books. But I still think you should read it!
