I like the idea that maybe a Kingdom appears to be ruled by a beloved King, but it is just a front for an advanced group of "Elders" who "Know Things" and quietly moderate how events play out.
Maybe these "Elders" are beings from another dimension, or a parallel world. Maybe they have technology, but have chosen not to give it to the world.
What if there is an equally old and secret group that is bent on revealing this secret? _________________ <b>---Ken Kiser </b>

Sounds like FFXII. xD
But yeah, it is a cool idea and I've seen or heard of it a couple times and I've wanted to try it myself. Though I always figure I'll mess it up. >< _________________ Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,

I think its a wonderful idea myself, I have always been a fan of mystery in fantasy, what if the "Elders" are actually trying to enslave the people, or bend them to their own likings? _________________ <i>"The world you know is over Grandmaster Shard, will you stand and fight for your people, or let them slip into darkness?"</i>Tartikoff Greenwood to Brayan James Shard

Whoa...I had a flashback to a Sci-Fi movie where they did that. They were these aliens that made these people think that the only way to get to their 'heaven' is to practically be slaves. It was breeding by the aliens so that they could sell them across the galaxy. >< _________________ Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,
