If you haven't noticed I'm a big fan of WH40K. They have had a few games, and recently a great RTS called Dawn Of War. There are two more expansions. One called Winter Assault (ft. Imperial Gaurd) and Dark Crusade (ft. Necrons and Tau). Insane graphics compared to Starcraft and a ggreat game in general. _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

I agree on that, though what is trully good about both Warhammer games is the duplicity of the races. None of them can be called trully good.
Even the supposedly good races do horrible acts in the name of good for all the wrong reasons. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

Sigh... In the 41st Millenium, there is nothing but war.... or something like that. But yet on the opposite hand, you have the fact that many factions are doing the right things for the wrong reasons as well.
What i love the most are the parallels with actualy history.
Tau - Taoism of China
Imperial - Roman Catholic/Mideival Europe maybe?
Ork - Comical idiots with caconay (sp) accents.
And my brain is to tired to think of the others. _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

The race closest to being good in 40k is the Tau, and even they are bad, at times. I mean, look at the human empire. You can't really call them good.
And just so you know, the Tau are one of the few working communist comunities there are _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

lol, thats why i like the tau. They have technology that is comparable to the eldar, but still haven't gotten much faster than sub-warp.
I only love humanity because of how much fun it pokes at the Catholic people.
As far is Imperials go, i love the Imperial Fists the most. I don't know why, but i just like them... come on, who doesn't like seige experts? and then again Blood Ravens have great lirbarians.... i don't know... they are both good. _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

I like Tyranids and Necrons. Tyranids have all those cute little monsters just waiting for a chance to rip you limb from limb, while Necrons have those nice littel guns wich rip you apart molecule by molecule.
Still, I've got a Tau army. Can't say no to that much firepower. Or rail-guns _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

It is, and there is a lot of work with the miniatures. The game is very fun, though, once you get into it, and will lead to some hillarious moments. (Like my 3+ saves.)
Gaming tip: NEVER, EVER say anything but a one. You will roll a one. Every time. Especially if it's an important roll. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

so just keep saying one, and you'll get a one . I Don't even know what a one does... my parents deemed it to expensive after i got one group of catachan's. Ones are good i assume? _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

The game is about getting high rolls. Ones are automatic failures. As are my 3+ saves, 'cept when they REALLY thwart my opponents plans. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

lol
I love lictors, though I don't have any. I do have a carnifex, and some raverners, not to mention a horde of grunts and genestealers. (Hey, I was in England. Had to use the money on something, and Warhammer World is not the worst place to do so )
Also, I have some warriors, that with one shot managed to kill four of five space marines in a squad. As the weapon I used was strenght 3, AP 5, that is impressive. Yu should have seen the face of my opponent. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

Fresh meat for the gribblies
I HATE marines! The only thing I hate more than Marines are Grey Knights. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

Well... I like the Grey Knights, because in the Dark Crusade expansion pack of Dawn of War, they have this ability that allows them to lunge, and they can literally rip apart entire formation.
I personally think that any pussy can play as the SM. It takes real men to play as any one else. _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

That's correct. SMs are the beginner army, along with simply buildt Chaos armies.
I guess the hardest races to use are the different Eldars. Orcs and 'nids are just plain fun. "There's da enemy. How do we get there as fast as possible, with as many men/grunts/boyz/gribblies as possible?" _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

I really like Tau for some reason. My friend was telling me about this one quite beautiful maneovor, when a Tau Devilfish carrier (i think it was cloaked somehow or another), it went behind their lines, and deployed behind them. The Devil fish provided fire support and a block, While the tau shot out the enemies feet, since they crouch when they fire. The orcs had to go around, while he was getting the close range firing bonus . _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

Actually, I don't think that's allowed... The height of a model is defined by how tall it is standing up, so crouching models should be counted as higher. I think the rules say that you can't shoot past tanks, not unless it's hovering, and then your opponent can walk under it as well. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

hmm.... damn. I think he might have been talking about Dark Crusade...
Tau Devilfish do hover though... just above the ground, and almost all Tau units fire while crouching... I dunno, perhaps they were playing with modified rules? _________________ "Scientia Potentia Est"

If playing the computer game, that would explain it.
It's a while since I played, and I'm not sure I remember the rules correctly, but as far as I know, veichles block line of sight. I'll check it out, sometime. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

That's too bad. The best parts of the game is when you zoom in on the close combat death graphics. Just watch Dreadnuts for a while, and you'll get this warm, fuzzy feeling insane. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!

I liked the big crazy demon guy-thing in the comp game. I was always chaos, just because they were badass. _________________ "I don't care what you are doing, so much

Bloodthirsters are boring
Try the greater demons for Tzeentch or Nurgle, they are much more fun to watch. Slaanesh is just perverted...
And then, there are the Necron "gods." The Nightbringer is uber. _________________ The Knights of the Pink Slippers are now recruiting!
