"Somewhere in the south-west the truly lost will find a city called Los Granados. It's not very big, neither is it overly large. Due to an epidemic, it's population just dropped dead, though it's now rapidly raising. The army, mainly the national guard, is making attempts at keeping it down.
As the few survivors of the outbreak make their way to illusionary safety they start encountering dead friends and family who all would like a bite."

Congratulations, survivor. You have just seen your loved ones drop like rain around you, though somehow you've been unaffected. Unfortunately, they would like nothing more than for you to join them. Take my word for it, that's not something you should desire. Unless you're very sick. In that case, you can go to hell, it's not a long walk. For the rest of you, I recommend you grab the closest bludgeon, or similar, and get the hell out of town. If you can and your loved ones let you.

So am I, I've got some questions though.

1:What time setting?

2:(only applies to me if there is a wild west setting) Is there Native American tribes?

3:Can a character have any surviving family?

1) Modern day.
2) Well, there is native Americans around. Probably.
3)Up to you. If you do have any, you're responsible for them, post-wise.

So yeah, zombie RPG, run by me and Havoc, for those who wondered.
Items will show up here as they become available in the thread.

People start out with simple weapons, say bludgeons.

This looks like a badass RP. I love killing zombies.
Question; I know you said we should start out with simple weapons, but would it be okay for my character to use the weapons we talked about last time we talked on MSN? *Nudge, nudge, wink, wink* Wink Thing is, I was thinking he'd have them from the get-go, since he's an ex-cop and they're part of his...supercop standard equipment...well, sort of. Rolling Eyes

I'm working my character out right now, trying to figure out what kind of person he is and all that.

I'm thinking small time farmer/cattle rancher moved from big city. His dog Molly, and his daughter Annie survived, more on that later.

@Loxley: He is for some reason separated from them. So the first thing to do would be to go get them.

As for others who wish to start with guns, you need to come up with reasons for why they don't work (lack of bullets, busted parts, and so forth), or that they are left somewhere. As said, it's preferable if people keeps the weapons simple at first. And don't worry, heavy artillery will be available and needed as the show moves on.

Alright, have my characters ready. Gonna do two of 'em. One for the beginning of the thread and another later. Very Happy

Both will be using crowbars. Very Happy Because they're so versatile. Not only make a great club, but can be used to pry open stuff! Very Happy

My character is pretty much wrapped up as well. As always he's way too badass for my own good, but, meh... He's also, as most of my characters, a drunkard. Rolling Eyes

This is starting to become a pattern for you, Loxley... Wink

Haha. Makes one wonder what you're like in person. Razz

Wouldn't you like to know. Wink

Of course, being the (self-claimed title) resident pervert adventurer of Fifthwind, I'm both a badass, a drunkard, and a perverted womanizing bastard. Just like Cole of La Canela. Cool

What can I say? I grew up with Ryo Saeba. This is the result of the City Hunter anime. Rolling Eyes

Loxley: Too bad you're all the way in Sweden. We could use more interesting guys like that in the States, hah. Smile

Well, if you ever come to Sweden, give me a call. Wink

So, anyways, I thought I'd post my character now. He's an ex-cop of a very corrupt kind, who...bah, just read the character summary.

Ryo Kawasaki

Ryo is a retired FBI/OCD-agent, who once sold himself out to the Chinese Triads in New York. A few years back, however, he retired from his service to a Triad crime lord whom he had began to respect (which was the reason he betrayed the FBI in the first place), when his conscience caught up with him. After that, he retired and moved to Los Granados where he looked to disappear and forget about his blood-soaked past. There, he found a new life as a mechanic on a local gas station, and love in his girlfriend, Rose. These days all he's trying to do is forget about his past, and repent for his sins - as he killed more than his fair share of people while in the Triads and while working as a corrupt police officer.

He is a genius with engines, and a regular at the local bars. When the virus struck the city, Ryo's girlfriend got infected, and he was forced to kill her by bashing her head in with a steel pipe. Now, he's brought out his old guns and is back as the sharpshooter he once was, with the sole purpose of helping people get out of the city alive - he himself no longer has anything to live for, and considers himself dead with his girlfriend's death. On the way, he's also trying to get drunk on free whisky from every bar they pass by.

Weapon of choice: Akimbo AMT AutoMag IV

Yeah, I know, he doesn't have the guns yet, but, meh, I just didn't bother changing the last part.

This RPG will start tomorrow.

Those who want to participate, make a character and jump in.
It would be nice if you could give some sort of short term goal for your characters (like Loxley finding his guns), though escape is the final goal.

The RPG starts pretty central in the city, just so you all know.
