It's a love/hate relationship with those 120,000 kids... _________________ ---Ken Kiser

And I've always said I didn't want any kids...
Today actually is fun, although I'm treading a thin line on how graphic to be. I've gotten 1200 words of new material already, tying two scenes together, and am now working on a stand-alone scene for later on.
What sucks is the heat, and the NOT-wanted, imposed diet that puts me on. I can't eat when it's this hot, and it's annoying. I also worry about my computer, as it overheats much more easily during the summer because I don't keep my house that cool. _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

Hmm, so I was bored and motivated to do odd things tonight, and so I added up all the words I've got saved on my computer. Well, the story-ish ones anyways, and the wordcount was amazing.
316,00 words.
That's a hell of a lot of writing!
However, I've done an 120,000 word manuscript in a year. In other words, I should be looking at 3 completed manuscripts instead of sixty little pieces and three big pieces and... one manuscript.
Oh well, by this time next year, I want another manuscript about half-ways done. _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

So, as I believe it is getting to the time to iron out little technical details, here's the title stuff and other good things.
The current manuscript will be part of a series of three books, all connected but intended to stand alone.
Books: "In the Arms of War", "A Red Sun Rises", "The Iron Cross" _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

they sound like real book titles... whatever that means.
I think you get my point though. Nice choices.
Better than mine. _________________ ---Ken Kiser

Thanks Fif! Yes I do know what you mean. Personally, I like short, one-word titles when possible, but these needed the longer titles.
I actually wanted "Red Sun Rising", but it was taken by a movie about Japan, and I don't want that subliminal message to people, since the story doesn't even mention Japan.
Another title I was tossing around for the first book is "My Glory Calls", but that's been pushed aside for use on a later book. I REALLY like that title though. _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

Well, I'm back again. Heat, allergies, work problems and the beginnings of a long-distance relationship have been consuming my time and energy recently, and so I've been far less active than I prefer to be. So, Mornara is back and will try to be more active! _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

Mornara is now free of all distractions. She also has a very clear head, and a crystal-clear picture of where she will take the future, whether it comes nicely, or kicks and screams all the way.
Love sucks. It suck ass in such a way that I can't begin to describe. That old saying "let go of what you love, if it doesn't return, it wasn't yours" is a wise one. But sometimes you have to fight and bleed for what you love. I got my priorities mixed up. They are straight now, and I know damn well what my battlefield is.
It's a nice feeling. _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

I'm going to be a little bit rare again this next week and a half. I'm house-sitting for a friend, and with four high-maintenance dogs and a cat, and still working my regular job, I'll be busy. Besides that, the internet connection only works in one room, and it's not the one I like.
I also have a ton of articles to get edited and submitted by tomorrow night, so pray for me, because I don't intend to stop working on my book either! _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

Well, I relented to peer pressure last night...
And sent the not-quite-finished manuscript to a friend. He's harsh with his critique, so it may hurt a lot, but hopefully will identify problems before they are through the entire book.
It's nerve-wracking! _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.

So in lieu of having something interesting to show, I'll post some links to my hobby. I'm not that good at art, I don't have much need to be good at art, I do it for my own pleasure. But some of these turned out decently! All were done without reference.

Thank you! That one was a personal favorite as well at the time, although it only took about 15 minutes. It's oil pastel actually, messy as all hell. Makes beautiful colors and stuff though. _________________ The owl cried outside as I slept, dreaming of my own death.
