How the heck can I be receiving emails from people telling me to "cheer up" and "sorry to hear it hasn't worked out" regarding my submission of FIFTHWIND, when I haven't received a single agent rejection?

Is that how easily "normal" people give up? Send out two query letters and declare defeat without a single response?

Give me a break. Let me put it plain words: I have not been rejected by any agent... none... nadda... zip!

Get real. I will likely receive a dozen or more rejections before all is said in done. Yet, i should give up before even the first one arrives? Geeez I feel sorry for people with that level of self-confidence.

Here is my response to that kind of negativity:

But a lot of people are like that - if at first you don't succeed, give up and blame everyone else for your failure.

That's why vanity presses make a killing. Too many gulllible people who need instant affirmation.
